Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist, and is a competitor within the UFC flyweight division. She's older than her fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as an Muay Thai boxer. Her debut was in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Mill in the finals with a unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko took home a second gold medal in 2007 she was awarded a bronze medal in 2008 and winning gold in 2011 and won the title of 2015 IFMA World Amateur Muay Thai Champion. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight following her first fight via unanimous decision. Antonina recovered from the loss to beat Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler.
