Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist, and is a competitor within the UFC flyweight division. She's older than her fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as an Muay Thai boxer. Her debut was in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Mill in the finals with a unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko took home a second gold medal in 2007 she was awarded a bronze medal in 2008 and winning gold in 2011 and won the title of 2015 IFMA World Amateur Muay Thai Champion. Antonia started her professional career in with her debut in 2003. She was the winner of the WKC K-1 World Championship 2012 for Light Welterweight and The Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's last fight was in the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The winner was a an unanimous vote. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut came in 2002, in the KFK Cup event of Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She won in the second round of a TKO fight, and the subsequent two bouts at the WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. She was able to record an overall record of 3-0. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 in an unanimous vote. She left in 2018 the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's striking skills were superior and enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Following this victory, Antonina was awarded an UFC contract. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight following her first fight via unanimous decision. Antonina recovered from the loss to beat Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler.
