She brought together both worlds and helped bring Tejano music into the mainstream. Much like when an incredibly bright and charming star dies in a hurry, her untimely demise has thrown her profile into a quagmire. A lot of mourners reacted to the potential that was not fully realized. Over the years, fans were inspired to work even harder in order to ensure that her accomplishments would not go unnoticed. Selena's shooting death sparked an emotional response within the Latino culture that can be likened to Elvis Presley, and John Lennon. The music of Selena, an artist who was hugely success in Latino communities across North America touched people young and old. Selena is an edgy sexually attractive performer who is sometimes described as Latina Madonna. However, she's an admired role model since off stage Selena has an amiable and family-focused attitude. She also actively is involved in anti-drug campaigns.
