Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on March 26th on the 26th of March, 1991. She is an American musician and singer. She was the first artist to be signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. The first single, Pho on October 21 2016, was released on Dreamville Records. The singer began to earn recognition. Shea Butter Baby her debut album was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox has uploaded her music on the internet since 2012, with the release of her first mixtape "Five Finger Discount" and her EP Ariography. In 2014, Ari Lennox dropped her single Bound, as well as her mixtape, which she released herself, Five Finger Discount. She appeared in Omen's Elephant Eyes as well as from Sweat It Out, on July 21, 2015. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville team at the time was interested in having her create Rihanna and Rihanna-related songs. She was officially signed with Dreamville Records on 8 December. The singer appeared on the album collaboratively titled Revenge of the Dreamers II featuring the track Backseat Cozz. On the 21st of October in 2016, her EP Pho was released. Ari Lennox was a guest on J. Cole's Change as well as performing on her own 4 Your Eyez Only Tour as opening performance. In 2018, she performed as a guest performer on two tracks, including the EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song and Bas's Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th July, 2018, released her first single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. The music video was also released on September 5th. Then on the 9th of November 2018 she dropped two additional singles called 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). Then, in November 2013, she released No One and Pedigree. She then appeared in the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on a track titled Shea Butter Baby on November 16th. She released the single in February, 2019, to accompany her debut album with the same name. The track was accompanied by an accompanying music video that debuted on February 20 2019 and surpassed 3 million views via YouTube within one week. In support of the track She toured together with 6LACK during December 2018 on their From East Atlanta With Love Tour.
